SG60 WFS National Team Singlet Design
Design a national team singlet for the Wrestling Federation of Singapore (WFS) that embodies the spirit of Singapore and its wrestlers, commemorating 60 years of Singapore’s independence (SG60).
Please read the following for the Rules and Regulation of this contest.
1 ELIGIBILITY
1.1 This contest is open to the members of the public residing in Singapore only. This Contest is not open to companies, educational institutions, organizations, etc. or to groups associated with such institutions.
1.2 Contestants are permitted to work in groups; however, only one (1) prize will be awarded regardless of group size.
1.3 Members of the WFS Management Committee, staff and their immediate families are not eligible for this contest.
1.4 The registration form can be submitted through Google Forms (https://forms.gle/Qyorr18FkYhVnsyE6)
1.5 This registration form must be submitted together with the design(as noted in clause 2 below) before submission closing time/date.
1.6 The contest begins on 15 March 2025. Submissions will be accepted up to 11:59PM (Singapore time) 13 April 2025.
Winners will be announced via our website, social media websites, and by direct contact to the winner’s email account.
1.7 There is no fee to enter the Contest.
1.8 Entries must conform to the submission guidelines set out below. Entries which fail to do so will be rejected.
2 REQUIREMENTS AND SUBMISSION
2.1 Complete and endorsed registration form.
2.2 Each entry must consist of two (2) files: in a vector format (AI, EPS, or SVG) and include a high-resolution image file (PNG).
2.3 The purpose of the contest is to design a Singlet for the Wrestling Federation of Singapore. The design must be appropriate for a National Sports Association and adhere to the UWW Uniform Guidelines (https://uww.org/sites/default/files/media/document/uniform_guidelines_2017.pdf)
2.4 Email all the items stated in the submission requirement (in 2.2) to Info@singaporewrestling.com
2.5 You should be able to describe the meaning behind your design.
2.6 Post your design on either or both Facebook or Instagram with your design with the upon submission, with hashtag #sgwrestling
2.7 Participants are welcome to submit multiple entries and registration forms (only one (1) submission per registration form), each with a distinct design concept.
3 CONTEST PERIOD
3.1 Submission Opening: 15 March 2025
3.2 Submission Closing: 13 April 2025, 11:59pm.
3.3 Judging of submissions: 14 April 2025
3.4 Winner Announcement: 15 April 2025
4 CONTEST WINNER
4.1 Contest winner will be announced on 15 April 2025 on WFS’s Facebook & Instagram accounts.
4.2 There will be only one winner.
4.3 The winner will also be notified via email stated in the particulars form.
4.4 Prize WFS training voucher of up to $196.50 to celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday.
4.5 Acceptable identification to be presented in person and particulars should be according to the details stated in the registration form.
4.6 Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, adherence to the guidelines, and representation of the Wrestling Federation of Singapore’s values.
4.7 In the event that none of the submissions meet the specified criteria or align with the outlined vision, WFS reserve the right not to declare a winner. This decision is based on careful consideration, and participants will be promptly notified. While no winner may be declared, the value of participants’ contributions remains appreciated. WFS may explore alternative avenues or reissue the competition at a later date if needed.
5 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
5.1 All entrants affirm their submissions are their own original work, have not been copied from others or from previous designs, including their own, and do not violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity.
5.2 All entries shall become the sole property of WFS and may be used for any WFS purposes, including, but not limited to, display on websites, business cards, letterhead, posters, and other materials.
5.3 WFS reserves the right to adapt, edit, modify, or otherwise use the winning submission in part or in its entirety in whatever manner it deems appropriate.
5.4 WFS reserves the right to choose not to use the winning entry as described in these contest guidelines.
5.5 WFS reserves the right to use any other entry for promotional or other purposes in the future.
6 RESERVED RIGHTS
6.1 By participating in this contest, the participants agree to WFS’s use of their personal data in the registration forms and images during the course of this competition.
6.2 In any event, all personal data shall only be used for the purposes of facilitating and monitoring of the competition.
6.3 All decisions by WFS with respect to any aspect of the contest are final. They are not subject to review.
6.4 WFS reserves the right to modify the contest rules and/or submission procedures and make clarifications with regards to the contest rules, as deemed necessary.
6.5 WFS retains all the copyright to submitted logo images.
6.6 WFS is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or otherwise unusable entries, including entries that are lost or unusable due to computer, internet, or electronic problems.
6.7 WFS reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest and award the prize by alternate means if fraud or technical failure is determined at any time, including after the submission window has closed.
6.8 WFS is not liable, for the purpose of winner and prize notification and delivery, in the event the contest winner has provided incorrect, outdated, or otherwise invalid contact information.
Optional design elements to consider:
1. National Colours: Incorporate Singapore’s national colours: red and white.
2. Lion Symbolism: Integrate the lion, a symbol of Singapore’s strength and courage, into the design.
3. Cultural Nod: Incorporate a subtle element that reflects Singapore’s multicultural heritage (e.g., Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian).
4. Wrestling Motif: Incorporate a design element that represents the sport of wrestling, such as a stylized wrestling belt or grappling motif.
Unique Characteristics of Singapore:
Consider incorporating design elements that reflect Singapore’s:
1. Garden City: Represent Singapore’s lush greenery and botanical gardens.
2. Urban Landscape: Incorporate elements that reflect Singapore’s modern architecture and urban planning.
3. Cultural Diversity: Highlight Singapore’s multicultural heritage through subtle design elements.
Design Deliverables:
Submit a design concept that includes:
1. A front and back view of the singlet.
2. A detailed design rationale explaining the inspiration behind the design.
3. A colour palette and typography guide.
