SG Coach Level 1 Full Integration for Wrestling
WFS will be conducting our third run of the SG-Coach L1 Integrated Coaching Course for Wrestling using a blended approach — online learning via SportSG-ED and face-to-face lessons.
This allows greater flexibility and autonomy for coaches to acquire relevant learning at any time and place.
Attending this course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to coach wrestling or it’s associated styles at the beginner level covering modules such as:
- Coaching Philosophy & Best Practices
- Sport Development System
- Safe Sport & Sport Safety
- Fundamental Sport Science
- Theories of Coaching
- The Coaching Process
- Building a Positive Culture in your team
This course is also a requirement in order to attain NROC membership status and will replace the need to attend 3 separate courses.
Course Prerequisites:
This course is NOT a wrestling technique course. As such, participants are expected to have attained the equivalent of Orange grade (under Singapore Wrestling grading system) or possess at least 2 years of standup wrestling/grapping experience such as (Sambo/Judo/Jiujitsu) before signing up.
Course elements: SG-Coach Theory L1, SG-Coach Technical L1 & Fundamental Sports Science.

Course Schedule:
20th Dec— 2nd Jan 2022: Complete E-learning modules online* on SportSG-ED, own time and pace
*Please ensure you have a working laptop throughout the course.
3rd Jan — 7th Jan 2022 (9am — 5pm): Zoom & Hands-on sessions, Micro-coaching Practical and Coaching Technical Assessment* @ WFS

A 30% deposit payment is to be made by Monday, 6th Dec 2021 to confirm your registration.
The remaining 70% balance payment is to be made by Monday, 13th Dec 2021 before the course commences.
